Bullring & Grand Central, representing the pinnacle of Birmingham's city retail panorama, is opening its doors to the growth of several retailers such as Zara, Clarks, and Swatch.

The Bullring & Grand Central, which is owned by real estate developer Hammerson, ranks as the sixth largest shopping centre in the UK, covering an area of 163,000 square meters.

The global fashion label Zara, managed by Inditex, is set to occupy the top floor, marking the final phase of transforming the ex-Debenhams site.

This is next to a two-level unit on the top floor, generating over 51,000 square feet of retail area that will noticeably boost Zara's visibility in Birmingham.

The reestablished pledge comes after the launch of Inditex labels Bershka and Pull&Bear – in a first for the region – at the Bullring in 2023.

The Swiss watchmaker, Swatch, is opening its first independent store in Birmingham. Situated on Link Street, the 800 square foot shop will showcase 500 unique watch models.

The global shoe company Clarks is moving its location within the Bullring to introduce its contemporary "workshop" idea, taking over a new 4,500 square foot space on the lower floor.

In the later part of 2023, M&S introduced a 65,000 square foot store in the mall, located under the newly opened Zara location.

Toby Tait, the asset management director at Hammerson, shared his thoughts on the repositioning strategy of Bullring & Grand Central. He expressed that the introduction of key brands, new ideas, and events at the location has significantly increased visitor numbers and sales for their tenants annually. Consequently, this strategy continues to draw top-tier brands to partner with them.
