Police in Vehari district, Pakistan, have arrested 107 proclaimed offenders during a two-week crackdown. This operation was launched on the directions of DPO Tassawar Iqbal.
Among the arrestees were 18 Category-A and 89 Category-B proclaimed offenders. The campaign saw participation from police teams in Burewala, Vehari, and Mailsi.
Compared to the same period last year, this year's arrests represent a 174% increase, with 39 proclaimed offenders (including 8 Category-A and 31 Category-B) taken into custody then.
DPO Iqbal stated that further measures are being taken to cancel passports of dangerous offenders and apprehend those who have fled abroad. He emphasized that the crackdown will continue through a combination of effective strategies, coordinated operations, and modern technology.
