Suthra Punjab Teams Step Up Cleanup and Drainage Operations in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 15, 2026) The field teams of Suthra Punjab remained actively involved in cleanup and drainage operations across Rawalpindi following heavy rainfall.
Managing Director Suthra Punjab Agency Rawalpindi and Chief Executive Officer Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC), Rana Sajid Safdar, personally supervised sanitation and drainage arrangements during the downpour.
As per his directives, sanitation workers:
- Carried out operations in low-lying areas, along major roads, markets, and other key locations.
- Removed blockages from drains and nullahs.
- Conducted desilting and promptly lifted accumulated waste to prevent drainage obstructions.
Rana Sajid Safdar emphasized that providing immediate relief to citizens was their top priority. He assured that all field teams were monitoring the situation closely and relevant departments were working in coordination to minimize rainfall's impact and offer maximum convenience to residents.
Suthra Punjab teams will maintain heightened alertness until conditions return to normal, with sanitation and drainage operations continuing uninterrupted.
