Syrian President to speak at opening session of Arab Media Summit 2026
Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa will address the opening session of the Arab Media Summit 2026, as announced by the event's Organizing Committee. Held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the summit will take place in Dubai from September 15 to 17.
The summit aims to bring together government officials, media leaders, and industry professionals globally to discuss the future of media and strategic communication amidst significant regional transformations.
President Al-Sharaa's session will focus on these changes and their impact on the role of media in Syria and the wider Arab world.
Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson of the Dubai Media Council, welcomed President Al-Sharaa's participation, emphasizing the summit's role as a platform for dialogue between decision-makers and media leaders on regional developments and their implications.
This 24th edition of the Arab Media Summit is expected to be the largest yet, featuring over 175 sessions, 400 speakers, and exploring topics like artificial intelligence, digital transformation, social media, and content creation. It will also award excellence in media through three categories: the Arab Media Award, Ibda’a – The Arab Youth Media Award, and the Arab Social Media Influencers Award.
